Harris Health Insurance is contracted with most major health plan carriers. We offer plans that are available in your county and your zip code.
Where are you today?
Two places people usually start

Turning 65 soon
There's a window around your 65th birthday — three months before, your birthday month, and three months after — when you can sign up without penalties. We'll map out your dates, look at whether you're still working with employer coverage, and make sure nothing important slips by.

Already on Medicare
Maybe your premiums went up, your doctor left the network, or your prescriptions cost more than they should. Every fall during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) we can review your plan side by side with the alternatives and decide together whether to stay or switch.

Medicare, in plain English
The pieces, and how they fit together
Medicare isn't one thing — it's a set of parts. Once you see how they connect, the choices become much easier to make.
Parts A & B
Original Medicare
Part A covers hospital stays, skilled nursing and hospice. Part B covers doctor visits, outpatient care and preventive services. Most people pay nothing for Part A and a monthly premium for Part B. It's a strong foundation, but it doesn't cap your out-of-pocket costs on its own.

Part C
Medicare Advantage
Private plans approved by Medicare that bundle Parts A, B and usually D into one card. Many include dental, vision or hearing extras, and all have a yearly out-of-pocket maximum. They typically use provider networks, so we'll check that your doctors are in.

Part D
Prescription coverage
Standalone drug plans that pair with Original Medicare. Each plan has its own list of covered drugs and pharmacies, so the right plan depends entirely on what you take. I'll run your actual prescriptions to compare real costs.

Medigap
Medicare Supplement
Supplement plans help pay the costs Original Medicare leaves behind — deductibles, coinsurance and copays. They let you see any doctor who accepts Medicare nationwide, which many people value for travel and peace of mind.

Beyond Medicare
Coverage for the gaps, and for every age
Medicare doesn't cover everything, and not everyone I help is 65. These plans can fill in the spaces that matter to you.
Dental
Cleanings, fillings, crowns and dentures — care Original Medicare generally doesn't pay for.
Vision
Eye exams, glasses and contacts, so seeing clearly doesn't come with a surprise bill.
Hospital indemnity
Cash paid directly to you for a hospital stay, to help with copays and everyday bills.
Accident
Benefits after an unexpected injury, from emergency visits to follow-up care.
Critical illness
A lump-sum payment if you're diagnosed with a covered condition such as cancer, heart attack or stroke.
Life insurance
Final expense and term options that protect the people you love and ease their burden.
ACA plans
Marketplace coverage for individuals and families under 65 who don't have health insurance.
Annual reviews
I'm here all year with questions, and a yearly check-in during open enrollment keeps your coverage fitting your health, budget, and doctors.

About Denice
A neighbor who happens to know Medicare
I'm Denice Harris, a licensed insurance agent here in North and South Carolina. I became an independent broker because I watched people I care about get overwhelmed with mailers, sales calls, and fine print, and nobody would just sit down and explain it.
Being independent means I don't work for one insurance company. I compare plans from the carriers I represent and recommend what fits you, not what fits a sales quota. My help costs you nothing.
We'll meet at a pace that suits you, on the phone or across a table. I'll be here throughout the year when you have questions, a new prescription, or a letter you don't understand.

Questions
Things people ask me most
Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. I'm paid by the insurance companies when you enroll, so my guidance costs you nothing, and the plan price is the same whether you use a broker or not.
When should I start thinking about Medicare?
About three to six months before you turn 65. That gives us time to look at your situation and avoid gaps or late-enrollment penalties.
I'm still working. Do I need to sign up?
It depends on your employer's size and coverage. Sometimes delaying Part B makes sense; sometimes it doesn't. We'll look at your specifics together.
Can I keep my doctors?
Often, yes. Before recommending anything, I check whether your doctors and hospitals work with the plans we're considering.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. Most people can make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, and certain life events open other windows.
Do you only help with Medicare?
No. I also help with dental, vision, hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness and life insurance, and ACA plans for people under 65.
